NBA: The 30 most unforgettable individual playoff runs: 23. Kevin Durant (2019)

Making his third and final appearance on the list, Kevin Durant was only derailed from winning another championship (and climbing even further up the list) due to injuries in the NBA Finals. Limited to just 12 games due to his ailments, Durant averaged 32.2 points (best in the league), 4.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game on shooting splits of .514/.438/.903.

The Warriors were admittedly a juggernaut, coming off two straight championships and on their way to their fifth straight Finals berth. Durant was stellar against the LA Clippers in the first round, averaging 35.0 points per game. He even capped off the series with the rare 50-point playoff performance. Durant appeared in five of the six games against the Houston Rockets in the second round and topped 34 points three times, including 46 points in a Game 3 loss.

Durant strained his right calf and missed the sixth game as well as the Conference Finals sweep against the Portland Trail Blazers. He returned for Game 5 against the Toronto Raptors, in an attempt to salvage the run for the Warriors. Durant got off to a scorching start, with 11 points in 11 minutes, hitting his first three 3-point attempts. The stage looked set for another epic performance. Then his Achilles tendon ruptured and his time with the Warriors was all over. Despite an unfortunate end, this level of scoring dominance is enough to push him into the top 30 of all time.
