NBA: The 30 most unforgettable individual playoff runs: 10. Michael Jordan (1993)
Back on the list again, Michael Jordan finishing off his first three-peat before (temporarily) retiring for baseball goes down as a memorable moment without a doubt. Jordan averaged 35.1 points 6.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
The Bulls went up against rival Dominque Wilkins and the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs. Jordan was brilliant (34.3 points per game) over the course of the sweep. Another sweep came next against the Cleveland Cavaliers. After that came the Knicks who pushed the Bulls to six games. Jordan would move on to the aforementioned clash with Charles Barkley where history was made.
Over the six-game series, Jordan averaged a Finals record of 41.0 points per game and added 8.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists. He never scored less than 31 points and even hit 55 points. Barkley and the Suns were great, but no one was beating Michael Jordan, who put the first of two perfect caps on his career. This was the end of the line for the first half of the dynasty whether the reason is fatigue, gambling, baseball or something different entirely. As special as this run was, this will not be the last time we hear from His Airness on this list.
