Brooklyn Nets: 3 crucial goals for their run through the NBA playoffs
The Brooklyn Nets turned the NBA landscape on its head when they traded for James Harden. It turned them from a very good team in the Eastern Conference to a contender to the NBA title. They put all their chips on being the better offensive team on the court, not focussing on defense as much.
They have three of the best players in the game. Kevin Durant is one of the top offensive players of all time, being able to hurt you from anywhere on the court. He even plays defense at a reasonable level if the game requires it.
Kyrie Irving had his most efficient shooting season ever. He joined the exclusive 50/40/90 club. He hit 50.6 percent from the floor, 40.2 percent from deep, and 92.2 percent from the line. This was his most complete season as a player for his career.
Now that the Brooklyn Nets have made the second round of the NBA playoffs, here are three crucial goals for their postseason
The Nets have one of the most deadly spot-up shooters in the game. Joe Harris has previously led the NBA in 3-point percentage. This season he has shot the ball at 47.5 percent from deep on 6.4 attempts per game, which allowed him to average 14.1 points per game.
They claimed Blake Griffin off waivers and he has added 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Unfortunately, his knees have suffered the consequences of being injured too many times and he is not able to move laterally enough to be any good on defense. Just imagine how good they would have been if Spencer Dinwiddie and LaMarcus Aldridge were playing.
With all this in mind, let’s take a look at the three goals for the Nets these playoffs.
