Boston Celtics offseason roster moves No. 1: Guarantee Jabari Parker

Jabari Parker started the season out playing with the Sacramento Kings. He was then waived at the trade deadline as the Kings started to make a move towards developing their younger players at the end of the season.

Parker was then signed as a free agent on a minimum deal with the Celtics. In the ten games that he played, Parker averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. He shot the ball at 54.2 percent from the floor but needs to improve on his 20.0 percent from deep.

As mentioned earlier, there Celtics have no room to move with their salary cap situation. Parker is a solid player who has bounced around the league since injuring his knee, back when he was playing with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Given that Parker is only due $2.3 million next season. There is a chance with a preseason and training camp that Parker can develop into a player that can help the Celtics move forward next season.

As Parker is only 26, he still has a lot of basketball left in his body. If he can develop chemistry with the big three, then he could make a difference at such a low price.
