Denver Nuggets playoff goals No. 3: Get Aaron Gordon scoring more

At the moment the Nuggets have one main conduit on offense. Jokic is averaging 31.0 points per game which is tremendous but the next best scorer is Porter who is averaging 15.3 points per game. The Nuggets have four other players averaging 10.0 points per game or more.

One of these is Aaron Gordon who is averaging 12.0 points per game on really good shooting. He is shooting at 41.5 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from deep. The problem is that he is only taking 2.3 attempts from beyond the arc per game.

Porter is taking 6.0 attempts from deep and only making 33.3 percent of them. Gordon has much more NBA experience than Porter and he has developed more. While he has only been on the team for a few months, he has the talent to be a really good second option until Murray comes back.

Gordon needs to be involved in the play more and it would be better for the Nuggets if he was able to average around 20.0 points per game for the Nuggets. He has the ability to space the floor both from the perimeter and vertically which is a really good combination for coach Mike Malone to try and harness.
