LA Clippers playoff goal No. 2: Find a regular third option

As mentioned earlier, the Clippers have been relying on the production of both Leonard and George. They have been by far the outstanding players on the Clippers squad. It is crucial for the Clippers that they find a viable third option moving forward.

In the first three games of the series, Leonard has been a beast. He is averaging 34.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 41.3 minutes per game. His efficiency has been off the charts shooting 60.0 percent from the floor, 44.4 percent from deep, and 88.5 percent from the line.

George has also been putting up really good numbers in the first three games. He is averaging 26.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in 40.7 minutes per game. He is shooting 70.3 percent from inside the line, and also has not missed any of his 13 free throw attempts. However, he is only 5-of-21 from deep which is good for 22.8 percent.

The problem is that Reggie Jackson has the next best scoring average at 11.0 points per game. Nicolas Batum and Marcus Morris are both averaging 9.3 points per game. If an opposition coach manages to shut down one of the stars, then the Clippers do not have the ability to have another player produce at a level that is going to get them into the next round.
