NBA Draft: Worst pick every current general manager has made

Worst NBA draft pick Charlotte Hornets general manager Mitch Kupchak has made: Javaris Crittenton
This is the first time we get to go so far back, as Mitch Kupchak has been a general manager in the league for decades. Luckily for the Charlotte Hornets, he has mostly done well at making the most out of his draft picks, highlighted by this season with likely Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball. Going back to his Los Angeles Lakers days, Kupchak selected someone who is quite well known for something that happened in the locker room instead of on the court.
Javaris Crittenton was drafted 19th by the Lakers in the 2007 Draft, ahead of Jared Dudley, Wilson Chandler, Aaron Afflalo, Carl Landy and Marc Gasol. He played just 22 games for the Lakers before being shipped (along with the aforementioned Gasol) to the Memphis Grizzlies for Pau Gasol. He would play 35 games over two seasons before being traded again to the Washington Wizards.
He played 56 games for the Wizards then at the beginning of his second season with the team, he and Gilbert Arenas had a confrontation in the locker room that involved guns. Crittenton was suspended for the rest of the season and would never see the court again in the NBA. After stints in China and the D-League, Crittenton was arrested on charges of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, giving false statements, attempted murder and participation in criminal gang activity. He is currently serving a 26-year prison sentence.
