One of the favorite topics of fans is debating how well each team does in a given draft. We are coming off the NFL Draft season and barreling closer to the NBA Draft. As part of the preparation for that time of year, we are going to look back at the worst pick made by every current NBA general manager.

Not all of the players selected here will be bad. Sometimes it is more about an opportunity missed than the actual issue with the player. Another issue with some of the selections will be that there are so many new, first-time general managers in the league, making some of the judgment calls here seem a little too short-sighted.

We will be going through each team in alphabetical order and list the worst pick made by each current general manager. Where did your team go wrong?

Drafting is an inexact science, and that will be made even more clear after this list is laid out. Some of the worst picks on the list will be related to front office people who are generally considered to be rather good at team building. We are at a place with the NBA where more than ever general managers are mostly considered above average. A decade ago, this list would have been much uglier. Take solace in the fact that most of the leaders of organizations are doing much better at building through the draft. However, this list is not about that. Let’s get started.
