Atlanta Hawks goal leading into the playoffs No. 2: Get De’Andre Hunter back into game shape.

As stated earlier, the Hawks have had a massive amount of injuries. One of them was to their second-year wing, De’Andre Hunter. Hunter had worked really hard on his body during the time the Hawks were not allowed to train together and he was reaping the rewards.

Hunter, according to Bogdanovic, was the best player for the Hawks prior to going down with his knee injury. Hunter would miss more than 40 games before returning last week against the Washington Wizards under severe minutes restrictions.

Hunter has developed the ability to score on all levels. His 3-point shot is solid, looks good in both the mid-range and the post, as well as being able to get to the line. On top of that, Hunter was also defending the best opposition wing on a nightly basis.

For the Hawks, he is a key member of the starting five and if he can get his game shape back between now and the start of the playoffs, he is going to be another welcome addition to the Hawks playing group. This will just add to the depth of the Hawks squad.
