Atlanta Hawks goal leading into the playoffs No. 1: Get consistency from the bench unit

The Hawks have some incredible players on their bench unit. Some of them would be starters on the majority of teams around the league. Despite being their highest-paid player, Gallinari has embraced the bench role, especially under coach McMillan

Huerter, Snell, and Hill have been used off the bench and as starters depending on who has been available for the Hawks. However, when the Hawks are at full strength, they are all key components of the bench unit.

Rounding out the bench unit is the three-time sixth man of the year Lou Williams and the rookie center Onyeka Okongwu. So it is plain for all to see, there is plenty of talent on the bench and they have taken the game away from many quality teams.

They were the unit that took the game away from the Phoenix Suns. Then two nights later they were the unit that almost lost the game against the Washington Wizards. This season, due to the level of grind the 72 game season has had on the teams, it is going to be a case of depth leading to the NBA title.

If the Hawks can get consistency out of their bench players, they have a good chance to take home the trophy.
