Now that the Miami Heat have qualified for the playoffs, they need to reset their season in a similar manner to the way they did last season. They finished in the sixth seed before accounting for three top teams in the Eastern Conference.

They have a different team this season, losing the likes of Derrick Jones jr, Kelly Olynyk, and Jae Crowder to name a few. This has made them a vastly different team to play against, despite still having the talents of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo to build around.

The Heat had a large number of games early in the season where they were missing key players due to the health and safety protocols. Like many other teams, this had the potential to totally derail the Heat’s season. But true to their fighting form, they have qualified for the playoffs directly.

The Miami Heat are not going down without a fight this season.

The Heat have shown in their last few games that they are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason. They have dominated the Boston Celtics in a two-game mini-series, they then smashed the best team in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers.

This season’s playoffs present a different challenge for lower-ranked teams though. Instead of playing in the same arena without fans, without travel, or home-court advantage the lower-ranked teams will have to travel more, which will tax their bodies.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at three goals for the Miami Heat going into the playoffs.
