Boston Celtics goal No. 2 going into the NBA playoffs: Replace the production of Jaylen Brown

This is one goal that may be the hardest to meet for any team to meet. Replacing a star’s production is a very difficult task at the best of times but the Celtics are certainly going to give it a try. So, the question is, how do you replace 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game?

On top of that, for the team to be successful, you need to replace this production with a high level of efficiency. Brown shot the at 48.4 percent from the floor, 39.7 percent from deep, and 76.4 percent from the charity stripe.

Well, the answer is simple with a level of complexity. Each player who hits the court has to produce a little more every time he is called upon. However, this makes it very complex for coach Brad Stevens to manage how each player needs to help the team.

Stevens is a quality coach so it is something that he will work out with his coaching staff. However, one thing is for certain if one or two players try and replace Brown’s production by themselves, the team will exit the postseason very quickly.
