NBA stars and their Star Wars counterparts: LeBron James = Darth Vader

Anointed as a youth as “The Chosen One” he grew into his prodigious natural gifts to become the most powerful one of them all. Frustration with his group’s leadership led him to leave entirely, announcing his departure in a horrifying event involving children. He became a villain to all but the supporters of his new group, but even so continued to dominate with his strength and power, silencing all doubters. He would later return to his original group.

Who am I describing? I could be talking about LeBron James, high school phenom who became one of the greatest players in NBA history. He left the Cleveland Cavaliers and joined the Miami Heat, becoming the league’s chief villain at the time, but eventually returned to the Cavaliers and brought them an NBA title.

I could also be describing Anakin Skywalker. An extremely talented young boy, Anakin was labeled “The Chosen One” by Qui-Gon Jinn. Trained as a Jedi he was quickly one of the most powerful, but deep emotional turmoil saw him break with the Jedi Order and become the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Yet at the very end, his love for his children brought him back from the brink just minutes before his death.

Both LeBron James and Darth Vader are big, strong and extremely powerful, and both are wildly popular in their respective spheres. This was the easiest comparison on this entire list; Darth LeBron is a seamless fit.
