What NBA player is Marvel character Spider-Man?

Donovan Mitchell

I tried hard to find a way that Spider-Man was NOT Donovan Mitchell, but there’s just no way around it. It’s Mitchell’s nickname, but it fits to a tee. He’s longer than can be believed, and while that’s biological rather than enhanced with a radioactive spider bite or Tony Stark’s tech, the end result is close enough. Mitchell is young, eager, and has something to prove to himself and to the world as well. After his Utah Jazz suffered disappointment last season, now is his time to show what he can do.

What NBA player is Marvel character Thor?

James Harden

At the peak of his powers, James Harden is one of the very best players in the NBA. The parallel to Thor, one of the strongest Avengers, is pretty clear. However, when things get dark and the skies are stormy, there are parallels there as well. Look no further than in Endgame, when Thor killed Thanos and spent the next five years drinking beer and packing on the pounds. As for Harden, his desperation to get out of Houston was so great at the beginning of this season that he didn’t stray far from Thor’s own gloomy methods. Thor redeemed himself in the end; will James Harden?
