Toronto Raptors: 3 goals down the stretch of the season
1. Work on better looks
The Raptors have the 18th best offense in the NBA, scoring 111.7 points per game for the season. This correlates with the fact they assist their shooter on 24.4 percent of all makes which is 17th in the NBA.
Their offense is based on perimeter shooting as they take the fourth most 3-point shots per game with 39.8. They make 14.8 of these attempts which is the third-most in the league. This means they make 37.2 percent of their shots from outside which is a passable 12th in the NBA.
However, their game inside the arc is letting them down. They are taking 48.3 shots from within the 3-point line which is 28th in the league. They make 24.8 of them which is only good for 29th in the league. This means they make 51.4 percent from inside the arc which is good for 23rd in the NBA.
If the Raptors were able to create better looks, they have a good chance of increasing their percentages which would give them a better chance at winning. Working on this in live games over the next two weeks would give them a bit of a leg up for next season, which has to be better for the franchise.
