3. Rookie growth

The Pistons have five rookies on their roster this season. However, they only have three who are getting any meaningful court time and will be a big part of their future. These are Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey, and Isaiah Stewart.

Hayes started the season out poorly and was routinely criticized. He then injured his hip which forced him to miss a large portion of the season. However, since he has returned, Hayes is showing something which should give all Pistons fans hope.

His passing and decision-making have gone up a level and he is not afraid of the big moment. It will be interesting to see where his ceiling may be. Bey has shown the ability to go on huge individual scoring runs. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he scored 18 points in the first quarter alone. He barely scored for the rest of the game but that will come as he grows.

Stewart is a hard-working, undersized center who is not afraid to put the work in inside. He gives the Pistons multiple second-chance opportunities every night but has an issue with fouling. He seems to collect two or three quick ones which have the potential to limit his effectiveness on some nights. This will also be cleaned up as he grows and learns.
