The Minnesota Timberwolves are having another bad season. They are down the bottom of the NBA standings again and there is little light at the end of the tunnel for the struggling franchise. Health has been a major issue for the Timberwolves with both COVID-19 and injury taking their toll.

Their record cost coach Ryan Saunders his job earlier in the season. However, unlike the Atlanta Hawks, when they changed coaches, the Timberwolves have not responded by winning. Instead, they were the last team to collect ten wins on the season and are pretty much a lock for a bottom-two finish.

They have just been sold, which has the potential to bring in major changes. However, it could also mean the new owners will go with the flow until they see how they can change the direction of the franchise.

Can the Minnesota Timberwolves salvage anything from the 2020-21 season?

As several basketball commentators have said over time, there are no wasted minutes on an NBA basketball court. Every time a player sets foot on the court, they are going to gain a greater connection with their teammates or learn something about the opposition.

With the exception of Ricky Rubio and Ed Davis, no player on the Timberwolves roster has more than five completed seasons under their belt. This includes their franchise player Karl-Anthony Towns who is their third most experienced player.

With this in mind, it is time to take a look at the three goals for the Minnesota Timberwolves down the stretch, with the focus being on next season
