The Cleveland Cavaliers have been struggling quite a bit due to a collection of injuries since earlier in the season. After early optimism, this season quickly became more about figuring out the young core and who should be part of the future in Cleveland. Collin Sexton looks like a future All-Star. Darius Garland has taken a big step forward in his second season. Jarrett Allen, the addition from being involved in the James Haden trade, is promising.

Flying under the radar, Dean Wade is acquitting himself well as one of the better shooters in the league as his opportunities are increasing. Over the last month, he shot 36.4 percent on 4.7 3-point attempts per game. Wade is finding a role on the Cavaliers, trying to show that he can have a career in this league doing what many consider the most essential skill for a role player in the NBA.

Keep an eye on Isaiah Hartenstein over the stretch run. He is a solid rebounding force who will get some run with Andre Drummond officially gone from Cleveland. Getting to take a chance on him while shipping out JaVale McGee was a worthwhile gamble. The rest of the season should be just about talent development.
