NBA Power Rankings Week 14: Trade deadline recap
By Corey Rausch
Last Week: Beat Chicago Bulls 120-95, Beat Brooklyn Nets 118-88, Beat Memphis Grizzlies 117-114, Beat Memphis Grizzlies 126-110
This Week: 3/29 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 3/31 at Memphis Grizzlies, 4/2 vs. Chicago Bulls, 4/3 vs. Orlando Magic
Back on top where they have belonged for much of the season, the Utah Jazz made one minimal move at the deadline. Absorbing Matt Thomas from the Toronto Raptors was a riskless move to take a flyer on a potential explosive 3-point shooter, something the team is already excellent at.

For those who wanted the Utah Jazz to disappear at some point they will have to keep waiting. They are still the only team in the top five of offensive and defensive rating and lead the league in net rating and 3-point shooting. Outside of having a top 10 player on the roster they are the definition of what a modern contender looks like.
The Jazz make the point that they do not get enough respect and that may be true. Their level of dominance is almost boring because they are not loaded with highlights, but they are not here to be entertaining. The Utah Jazz are here to win a title and at this point, they are one of the front runners. It is unfortunate that they will not get their respect unless they actually make it beyond the second round of the playoffs but when a team is as good as the Jazz that is what they are measured by.
