. 29-16. Previous: 3rd. Milwaukee Bucks. 4. team. 89

Last Week: Beat Indiana Pacers 140-113, Beat Boston Celtics 121-119, Lost to Boston Celtics 122-114, Lost to New York Knicks 102-96

This Week: 3/29 at LA Clippers, 3/31 at Los Angeles Lakers, 4/2 at Portland Trail Blazers, 4/3 at Sacramento Kings

There was no reason (or means) for the Milwaukee Bucks to make another move right at the deadline. They made their deadline move when they brought in PJ Tucker (and Rodions Kurucs) in exchange for DJ Wilson and DJ Augustin. The Bucks are close to having the roster they need for the postseason, with only one hole remaining.

With the loss of DJ Augustin, there is currently no reliable backup point guard on the roster. After watching the team flame out in the postseason because they struggled with half-court offense, adding another one makes complete sense.

The Bucks will be closely monitoring the situation in Oklahoma City with Austin Rivers. Should he indeed be bought out he would slot in nicely for the Bucks and would bring a spark off the bench that would allow for increased confidence going into the postseason. For now, let’s just continue to refine the case for why Giannis Antetokounmpo should be considered again for the MVP award.

For anyone who wants to argue against it, you are looking at the award wrong. This is not about last season or the post-season. This is about who has been the most valuable player during this regular season. This is not to say Antetokounmpo should be the favorite or that he is the most deserving. For once there are a collection of logical candidates. The point is that he should not be eliminated from contention solely based on something from a different grading period.
