This Week: 3/29 at New York Knicks, 3/31 at Indiana Pacers, 4/1 vs. Golden State Warriors 4/3 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

This week was a mixed bag for the Miami Heat, to say the least. On one end of the spectrum, they lost every game they played, six in a row overall and have fallen back under .500. However, the trade deadline was such a massive win that fans of the team come away feeling great about where the team is at anyway.

First, the Heat added Nemanja Bjelica at the cost of Maurice Harkless and Chris Silva. Bjelica is a solid floor stretcher for the team (38.8 percent from distance for his career), providing a better version of Kelly Olynyk to a team that has relied on the latter quite a bit.

The Heat snuck in at the last minute to nab Victor Oladipo from the Houston Rockets in exchange for Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk and a lottery-protected pick swap. No matter how much Oladipo has dropped off in recent seasons getting him essentially for free is a boon.

Missing out on Kyle Lowry is frustrating but given that the Raptors were reportedly expecting to bring back Duncan Robinson, Precious Achiuwa and Tyler Herro in the deal the notion of getting Oladpio and keeping all of them is that much sweeter. Now the Heat just need to start winning on the court.
