The Indiana Pacers didn’t want things to go this way, but it looks like they’re positioned to be sellers at the NBA trade deadline. According to multiple reports, the organization is at least willing to listen to offers for some of their best players.

They’re slowly drifting out of the playoff picture and currently sit 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 19-23 record, on the fringe of the play-in bracket. With an outlook that grows dimmer by the week, the Pacers may be opting to cash in some chips with the future in mind.

Should the Indiana Pacers pass or pursue these NBA trade deadline rumors?

While the Pacers may be looking to the future for the first time in a long time, their desired pieces could also be important elements in their own rebuild. Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon and Aaron Holiday all have received interest in the trade market, but is this team actually better off moving them?

We’ll take a look at three Pacers-related NBA trade deadline rumors and evaluate whether or not they should pass or pursue. Let’s start with Aaron Holiday.

Should the Indiana Pacers move Aaron Holiday at the NBA trade deadline?

Aaron Holiday has reportedly been shopped around by the Pacers with the intention of getting a good draft pick in return. According to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports:

"Pacers young guard Aaron Holiday seems to have fallen out of favor, and the franchise is looking for a first-round pick in return."

Holiday has had a disappointing season thus far, averaging just 6.9 points per game while shooting just 37.1 percent from the floor and 33.0 percent from 3-point range. It’s hard to imagine the Pacers would be able to swap him straight up for a first-round draft pick, but if they can make that dream come true, they should go for it.
