Dallas Mavericks: Pass or pursue on 3 rumored trade deadline targets

Should the Dallas Mavericks pass on or pursue rumored trade target Aaron Gordon?
If the Dallas Mavericks are looking to make a sizeable splash at the trade deadline, they should look no further than Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon.
The 25-year-old has been having a solid season by averaging 14.7 points on .442/.402/.624 shooting splits, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. Gordon’s 3-point shooting and playmaking have never been better than they are this season, and his top-tier play reportedly has him in high demand among trade suitors.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, the Mavericks are among the list of teams looking to make a move for the forward. Fischer also mentioned that members among league personnel believe that big man Dwight Powell would be the centerpiece in any deal involving Dallas. If the Mavericks can piece together a compelling package centered around Powell for Gordon, they must get a deal done.
Gordon would be the perfect third piece to complement Doncic and Porzingis, certainly bolstering their chance to make a run in the playoffs this year. At 25-years-old, Gordon would be a piece that not only fits with Dallas’ two stars right now but would be a great fit for their win-now timeline over the next several years. While the asking price could be steep, the Mavericks should kick the tires on a potential offer.
