Evan Fournier

The Orlando Magic are in need of a makeover. Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross are all theoretically movable to varying degrees. Khem Birch and Michael Carter-Williams could be added to that list. As the team spirals toward a high lottery pick, moving on from some of the veterans that perennially drag the Magic to somewhere between 38 to 42 wins is only logical.

Of the group, Fournier is the most imminently tradable. He is on an expiring contract and is the kind of scorer a playoff team should be happy to bring in. He is averaging 19.3 point, 3.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 39.0 percent on 6.9 3-point attempts per game. Getting a shot at such a floor spacer for the stretch run would behoove any team that could fit his salary.

Adding one of the top five players in this upcoming draft could alter the course of this franchise. The Magic are building a young core around Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac that could use an infusion of talent. Moving on from Fournier makes the team worse for this year (he is unlikely to sign with the team this summer anyway), helping to fulfill that goal.
