Patty Mills

Figuring out the most likely San Antonio Spur to be traded is like working on a puzzle backward. Remove all of the young players from the equation. They are the core of the future and will likely not be moved for any sort of win-now move. LaMarcus Aldridge is already separated from the team but his contract is a tough sell for teams looking to add a reserve big man who does not protect the rim. DeMar DeRozan certainly has value on the market but he is the leader of this team. Rudy Gay is a popular trade target, but the price is reportedly quite high.

This leaves Patty Mills as the most likely San Antonio Spur to be wearing another jersey in the next week. Mills has been a Spur since the 2011-2012 season and would likely be happy to finish his career with the team. He is only playing 25.5 minutes per game but is shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point range and is one of eight Spurs averaging double-digit scoring numbers.

It is very possible that the Spurs do not make any trades. Buying out LaMarcus Aldridge and making a push for the postseason with the current roster still remains the most likely endgame. Getting experience for the young core together will set up the next generation of Spurs for future contention.
