Gorgui Dieng
The rumors have been circulating that Gorgui Dieng is imminently available for teams in need of frontcourt help. He is not part of the future for the Memphis Grizzlies but he is the ideal big man for a team like the Brooklyn Nets to add should they need some extra size in certain matchups.
In 22 games this season Dieng has averaged 7.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game. He has a soft touch from distance and could stretch the floor enough to be respected. For a team like Brooklyn that needs to leave the lane unclogged for the drives by James Harden and Kyrie Irving, Dieng is a perfect fit.
His contract is expiring and is the only issue to him being traded at the moment, as he counts for $17.2 million this season, the highest figure on the team. Finding landing spots for the likely combination of Spencer Dinwiddie, Tyler Johnson and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot would be needed to fit him on the roster and it is hard to imagine Memphis being interested in all of three of them. Getting a third team involved is likely necessary but the framework of a move is there.
