The trade deadline is fast approaching and teams are already starting to make moves. P.J. Tucker is now a Milwaukee Buck. Trevor Ariza found himself reporting to a team, now a member of the Miami Heat. This is just the beginning of what may be an interesting, if not explosive, trade deadline.

So on this week’s edition of the power rankings, we will be reviewing one player from each team who is most likely to be moved before Thursday’s trade deadline. These are not reports, they are just one writer’s predictions of the market based on the rumors swirling around NBA Twitter.

As the NBA schedule rolls on we update the Power Rankings for Week 3 and check in on one player from each team most likely to be traded.

Some teams may not make a move at all but they will certainly be taking calls, weighing their options. Others may decide to do what Detroit Pistons’ general manager Troy Weaver likes most: overturning an entire roster. Part of the fun of trade season is guessing who ends up where. With respect to the power rankings, where certain teams stand going into the deadline is likely to inform their decisions as a buyer or a seller. If you are in the 20s, and therefore out of the playoff picture at the moment, perhaps consider being one of the few sellers on the market. If you are contending, as we have seen with the Heat and Bucks already, now is the time to fortify your playoff roster.

Now, let’s start the Week 13 Power Rankings.
