Following a trip to the NBA Finals last year, it has undoubtedly been a turbulent follow-up season for the Miami Heat.
Due to their roster being riddled with injuries and COVID-19, the Heat started the season off near the bottom of the standings. However, Miami has started returning to form, reeling off 11 victories in their last 12 games, largely thanks to the heroic return of Jimmy Butler.
Now sitting at fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 22-18 record, this team is showing their true identity after many had already been writing them off early. Despite their recent surge of success, the Heat have shown signs that they will be active ahead of the upcoming trade deadline. Miami always seems to be a team heavily mentioned in trade rumors, and they could very well be looking to make a splash to bolster their contending chances.
The Miami Heat could increase their chances of making another NBA Finals run by making moves before the March 25 NBA trade deadline.
With a collection of future draft compensation and players that could be used as assets at their disposal, the Heat are primed to make a move or two. Time will tell if they are of the same mindset with around two weeks left until the deadline this year.
With trade rumors coming in bunches, here is whether the Miami Heat should pass on or pursue five rumored targets before March 25.
