Houston Rockets. 30. team. 169. . 11-25. Previous: 29th

Last Week: Lost to Sacramento Kings 125-105, Lost to Utah Jazz 114-99

This Week: 3/14 vs. Boston Celtics, 3/16 vs. Atlanta Hawks, 3/17 vs. Golden State Warriors, 3/19 vs. Detroit Pistons

Question: Who will be left in two weeks?

The Houston Rockets have lost 15 games in a row, dating back to the time that Christian Wood went out of the lineup. As stated before, PJ Tucker has been sent home and is awaiting his move to another team. Eric Gordon is out with an injury for an extended period of time. Victor Oladipo turned down a contract extension.

Something has to give for the Houston Rockets and that something is likely to be shipping off Oladipo and Tucker, at a minimum, to jumpstart the rebuilding process. The tank is fully on due to a double-digit losing streak and there is no reason to keep any of the players around who do not connect to help during that time.

The mistake that could hang over the Rockets is flipping Caris LeVert into Oladipo. As a team ready to build for the future, LeVert was the kind of player to jumpstart that process. Depending on the return in an Oladipo trade, this could stick with the Rockets for a while.

John Wall feels likely to stay. His contract makes trading him prohibitive and so far he is saying all of the right things in Houston. If he can be a mentor for a team plummeting towards a top-five pick, that could be the best thing for him.
