NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Half-Way point check-in

NBA draft picks 11-15
Jalen Johnson is polarizing, to say the least. Despite a disappointing season at Duke that ended early, Johnson still feels like a home run swing for an Indiana Pacers team that does not get many chances at an elite prospect in the draft. He is a good rebounder and 3-point shooter. He is well worth a swing for a team in need of an infusion of talent.
Selecting a defensive-minded player to pair with Patrick Williams as the anchor on that side of the ball is smart for the Chicago Bulls. He would attack the rim and is increasingly becoming a better playmaker. Elite defense for a team with Zach LaVine and Coby White is a no-brainer and Billy Donovan will love coaching him.
Moses Moody has the talent of a top 10 pick, making the risk worth the reward for the Memphis Grizzlies at the back of the lottery. A 6’5” shooting guard with a wild 7’0” wingspan, he has improved as a shooter in college (38.6 percent from distance). As he improves, he will fit in as the wing of the future here.
Greg Brown is the kind of wing the Golden State Warriors were hoping Kelly Oubre could be this season and when he walks in free agency Brown slides in as a much cheaper replacement. He is a crazy athlete with a solid wingspan. He even fits the switchable defensive schemes the team loves. As the roster becomes more loaded, he can thrive off the bench.
This may be lower than most for James Bouknight but that is to his, and the Toronto Raptors’, benefit. The Raptors have a long track record of molding guard potential into the best of their abilities and Bouknight could be the perfect replacement for pending free agent Norman Powell. He is a scoring machine with a soft touch (20.2 points and 33.9 percent on 5.2 attempts per game). If he can increase the efficiency just a little more he is a no-brainer.
