The Milwaukee Bucks should pursue Andre Drummond.

Renowned businessman Sam Walton once said “High expectations are the key to everything.” Expectations in Cream City are an NBA championship. Anything less would be a disappointment.

Priority number one this past off-season was convincing Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign a super-max extension, which would keep him with the team long-term. After a luncheon to convince the reigning MVP to stay with the team became the worst kept secret in sports, he decided to stay in Milwaukee. That, combined with the acquisition of point guard Jrue Holiday, led Bucks fans to believe that 2021 would be the year they finally got over the hump and hoisted the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Andre Drummond will boost the Milwaukee Bucks’ championship aspirations

Unfortunately for Bucks fans, the Eastern Conference is the strongest it’s been in years. Getting to the Finals will be no easy task. Joel Embiid’s decision to stop eating Philly cheesesteaks, the return of Kevin Durant, the acquisition of James Harden and the emergence of Jaylen Brown are all events that have cluttered the landscape. The Eastern Conference playoffs will be a dogfight and whoever comes out on top will be battle-tested when they face their Western Conference foes.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have made it known that they are looking to trade veteran big man Andre Drummond. If Milwaukee wants to get to the Finals, they need to pick up the phone and make an offer. Let’s take a look at the how and why of it all.
