The Golden State Warriors are reportedly looking to add another star to the lineup ahead of the March 25 NBA trade deadline in Victor Oladipo.

The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor reported the news in his latest edition of NBA power rankings, and it undoubtedly turned some heads. Oladipo has been constantly mentioned in trade rumors this season, and he could potentially be the biggest name currently on the market.

The Golden State Warriors are certainly an interesting destination for Victor Oladipo if he were to be moved before the NBA trade deadline

Sitting at ninth place in the Western Conference standings with a 19-18 record, the Warriors’ interest in adding another household name makes sense. This team will need to put together a fantastic showing in the second half of the season to make a push for the postseason, and bringing a former All-Star into the mix could certainly help.

Oladipo has been far from perfect this season, which is understandable as he has played in just 55 regular season games over the past two years due to a ruptured quad tendon. Finally back in action, the guard has struggled to find his footing with the Houston Rockets after coming over in the James Harden blockbuster earlier this year.

Appearing in 15 contests, the guard is averaging 19.9 points on a highly inefficient .387/.313/.759 slash line, in addition to 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Oladipo is surefire a high-risk, high-reward option for teams looking to shore up their star power ahead of the trade deadline, but Golden State might be willing to take the gamble.

With that being said, here are the pros and cons for the Warriors as they ponder trading for Victor Oladipo in the coming weeks before the deadline.
