New York Knicks: Making a case for 3 rumored NBA trade deadline targets
By Dalton Sell
What a thrilling time it is to be a fan of the New York Knicks at the NBA trade deadline.
The Knicks currently sit alone in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 19-18 record heading into the All-Star break. Led by All-Star Julius Randle, the Knicks have positioned themselves in the playoff picture for the first time in several years, and it seems safe to say that they have no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The New York Knicks have been linked to a slew of candidates that could be worth pursuing ahead of the March 25th NBA trade deadline
The Knicks made what seemed to be a bold move last month when they traded for former league MVP Derrick Rose to bolster their backcourt. Pairing the veteran point guard with his former head coach Tom Thibodeau showcased that this team was all-in on making the postseason, and the move has benefitted thus far.
New York has reeled off eight victories in their last 12 games since acquiring the guard, working their way up in the standings at a rapid rate. With a handful of captivating assets still at their disposal, the front office could potentially be working on trades behind the scenes to improve the roster further as we speak.
The team already has been connected to several well-known candidates currently on the trade market, some being more compelling with others. If the Knicks plan to be aggressive ahead of the deadline, here is why they should target some players they are rumored to have an interest in.
