NBA: Best current players to never make an All-Star game
By Corey Rausch
4. Malcolm Brogdon
Before the Indiana Pacers began to struggle with injuries Malcolm Brogdon seemed poised to join his teammate Domantas Sabonis as an All-Star. He has long been the picture of efficiency and when he is not tasked with being one of the top two options on offense every night of the year he is truly able to thrive.
Brogdon has increased his scoring average every season and is currently averaging 21.2 points per game, the first time in his career over 20 points per game. He is chipping in 6.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. He is having a down year in shooting percentage but is still shooting 44.7 percent from the field overall and 37.8 percent from distance.
For the first 20 games of the season, Brogdon was just different. He was averaging 22.9 points, 7.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game on shooting splits of .456/.404/.896. If he is ever on a Pacers team that is able to remain healthy his case will be clear.
He has contributed to winning basketball dating back to his time on the Milwaukee Bucks. His game may not be overly aesthetically pleasing but effectiveness wins just as many games.
