. 7-29. Previous: 30th. Minnesota Timberwolves. 30. team. 86

Last Week: Lost to Phoenix Suns 118-99, Lost to Charlotte Hornets 135-102

This Week: 3/11 at New Orleans Pelicans, 3/13 vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Someone has to be the worst team in the league. The Minnesota Timberwolves have left no doubt so far this season as to who that team is. They are the only team entering the break yet to reach double digits in wins since the Detroit Pistons escaped that negative distinction on Wednesday.

Chris Finch has yet to win a game as a head coach, but he has had nothing like the roster he agreed to take over. He also has not had much practice time to change things. Having only won two games in over a month is just depressing.

Something will eventually go right for the Timberwolves. Malik Beasley will miss the next nine games after the break to finish out his suspension but getting him back will get the roster one step closer to the plan. Getting D’Angelo Russell back is key. Seeing him and Karl-Anthony Towns play more than five games together is essential to the planning of this franchise’s future.

Reports are circulating that the Timberwolves are interested in adding a power forward at the deadline. While there is some need, they should just stay where they are unless something unexpected becomes available. The Timberwolves have yet to see what this team even looks like together. Figuring out how to best build around Anthony Edwards needs to be the priority.
