17-18. Previous: 15th. Charlotte Hornets. 15. team. 170.

Last Week: Beat Sacramento Kings 127-126, Lost to Portland Trail Blazers 123-111, Beat Minnesota Timberwolves 135-104

This Week: 3/11 vs. Detroit Pistons, 3/13 vs. Toronto Raptors

One of the most fun stories of the season so far, the Charlotte Hornets have a totally different feel as a franchise in just under four months after drafting LaMelo Ball. Ball is not the only on-court factor changing the game in Buzz City but he has added a level of charisma and excitement to a team long missing it.

His on-the-court production is nothing to be sneezed at. So far this season, he is averaging 15.8 points, 6.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Coming into the season, there were serious concerns about his shot. Ball is hitting 37.8 percent of his 5.3 3-point attempts per game this year. He is the runaway favorite for Rookie of the Year and rightfully so.

The rest of the Hornets are impressive too. Gordon Hayward is off to his best start since playing for the Utah Jazz. Terry Rozier has made the swap the Boston Celtics made for Kemba Walker look silly and is continuing to be a consistent gunner for a team in dire need of his offensive punch. PJ Washington and Miles Bridges are finding their footing. Even Malik Monk has found a level of consistency that has not been seen since his days at Kentucky. The Hornets are coming. Consider this a warning.
