Prediction No. 6: The Brooklyn Nets deal Spencer Dinwiddie

If “win now” was a team, that team would be the Brooklyn Nets. They managed to do a sign-and-trade of D’Angelo Russell for Kevin Durant and then traded Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Rodions Kurucs, Taurean Prince, three first-round picks and four first-round swaps for James Harden.

These are the perfect championship moves and the Nets were right to take the chances they were given. It just means that nobody on that team is safe, *silence echoes in the room as all eyes fall on Spencer Dinwiddie*.

Being the only valuable member on the Nets that is not on the untouchable list must be hard. Things only get tougher for Spencer when you account for his injury, meaning that he is, at the moment, useless and completely expendable to the Nets.

Consequently, does anyone believe that this Nets front office that traded away an entire roster of guys within 18 months, to create a superteam, would have any second thoughts about dealing Dinwiddie if given the chance?

The Nets need size and defense. The obvious names on the trade block are Andre Drummond and PJ Tucker, both of whom have currently less value than the injured Dinwiddie. At the end of the day, don’t be surprised even if you see the Nets trade Dinwiddie for a less talented, but healthy, guard like George Hill or Wayne Ellington.
