Prediction No. 2: Andre Drummond ends up in Toronto or Dallas

It’s been made official for quite some time now that Andre Drummond is on his way out of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team has kept him away from basketball activities as they try to find the perfect trade partner for the big man.

Drummond has solidified himself as the league’s best rebounder. He led the league in boards per game in four out of his first eight seasons as a pro. Yet somehow he can’t seem to find a stable living situation.

We know that it’s happening. We just don’t know when and where. Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, when you openly bench a player on an expiring deal, you pretty much lose every last bit of leverage you might’ve had on any trade suitors.

At this point, the Cavaliers would be lucky enough to get a couple of role players and maybe even a second-round pick for the guy that was averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game before this whole fiasco even began.

The Toronto Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks are two teams that had much bigger aspirations to start off the season, though have failed to show it on the court. They are both currently sitting in the eighth seed of their respective conferences and are borderline playoff teams.

Luckily for them, they are both experiencing a huge big man gap, meaning that the potential acquisition of Drummond can help glue the whole team together. Due to the fact that none of these teams would have to give up too much, taking a flyer on Andre seems like a low-risk/high-reward kind of investment.
