Trade No. 4: DeMar DeRozan for John Collins swap deal between the Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs

For reasons pretty much nobody quite understands, the Atlanta Hawks may be looking to trade away John Collins, a beast in the paint who averaged 21.6 points and 10.1 rebounds on 58.3 percent shooting from the field and 40.1 percent from 3-point range for the 2019-20 season.

The recent rash transaction they made can only act as an indicator of what’s next to come. After parting ways with their head coach Lloyd Pierce, Collins’ spot on the team is even more uncertain than before.

The San Antonio Spurs would be a great place for him to call home. The exciting young core, under the influence of the great Gregg Popovich, will be in need of a power forward this summer, as LaMarcus Aldridge’s contract runs out.

Looking at the Atlanta Hawks, it is clear to the naked eye that they need some veteran leadership. DeMar DeRozan is one of the best scorers of our generation and has great playoff experience in the Eastern Conference.

These two players seem to have no future at their respective franchises, though could benefit drastically with a player swap. Obviously, with Collins being younger, Atlanta would want something extra in return.
