Trade No. 10: Buddy Hield to the Philadelphia76ers
Let’s face it. Buddy Hield, despite being a very talented player and one of the league’s top shooters, has never really had a solid spot on the Sacramento Kings.
He has been used as a starter for just over half of the games he’s played there, despite him being the team’s best scorer throughout that four-and-a-half season period. Trades rumors regarding him have now become a daily occurrence and his time to leave might be close.
The Philadelphia 76ers have to be considered an overachieving team. We all knew how talented a team they were, though based on last season’s blunder, people just stopped valuing them as highly as they once did.
About halfway through the season, they are sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, thanks to an MVP-caliber season from Joel Embiid and a strong Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Ben Simmons.
However, an area where they would kill for some improvement is the 3-point shooting. They are near the ocean floor in 3-point makes at 10.7 per game and an average team when it comes to efficiency.
Buddy Hield is a prolific 3-point shooter than holds a career percentage of over 40 percent. Furthermore, the Kings would be more than willing to let him go for an expiring contract in Danny Green and maybe a young player or a future draft pick.
