According to many fans, the NBA trade deadline period is the most exciting time in any season. Throughout the years, many major trades have impacted the history of the league, with no reason to believe that this won’t be the case this year.

During the first three months of the season, we’ve witnessed very few trades, though the four-team blockbuster James Harden trade should count as more than one. Other than that, Derrick Rose’s return to the New York Knicks pretty much sums up everything so far.

With a few short weeks until the 2021 Trade Deadline, it seems like everybody is on the trade block and everybody is looking to make major deals. Usually, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

The deadline has been set for March 25, which is about a month later than what we’re used to, due to the delayed start to the season, thanks to the pandemic. The All-Star Weekend usually acts as a break for general managers too, meaning that we might be seeing some trades within the next few days.

From fan favorites, all the way to teams in need of reinforcement, there are some trades that we would love to see happen at the NBA trade deadline.

So far we’ve seen teams performing way above expectations. The New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs instantly come to mind. Unfortunately, some so-called “contenders” are to this day, struggling to make or barely making the playoff picture.

These teams, like the Boston Celtics, the Denver Nuggets, or the Dallas Mavericks have been circling the trade news since the season’s tip-off. A boost in their roster is much-needed, should they wish to elevate their placement in the standings.

Here are 10 trades that would entirely change the outlook of the NBA season, by giving contending teams even more firepower and rebuilding teams even more assets to be used in the future.
