Utah Jazz. 1. team. 118. . 27-7. Previous: 1st

Last Week: Beat Charlotte Hornets 132-110, Beat Los Angeles Lakers 114-89, Lost to Miami Heat 124-116, Beat Orlando Magic 124-109

This Week: 3/1 at New Orleans Pelicans, 3/3 at Philadelphia 76ers

In what would be a disappointing week by their standards so far this season, the Utah Jazz have now dropped games in consecutive weeks. If that does not sound like much of a problem, you would be right. That being an outlier shows just how good the Jazz have been this season.

Bouncing back from a loss last week, the Jazz bludgeoned the Charlotte Hornets. Joe Ingles, Georges Niang and Jordan Clarkson combined for 62 points off the bench and allowed the starters to play a lighter load of minutes.

The team effort continues against the Los Angeles Lakers. Six players scored in double digits but none of them broke 20 points. There was no need as the continued onslaught from all comers was enough to knock of the defending champions. They were due for a letdown and the Miami Heat have been soaring of late. To finish the week, they came out on the second night of a back-to-back and buried the Orlando Magic.

The Jazz also saw Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell named to the All-Star reserves. Gobert followed the announcement by posting averages of 13.8 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. Mitchell was even better, averaging 24.3 points, 6.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Now if only they could find room for another injury replacement to get Mike Conley on the team.
