Last Week: Beat Portland Trail Blazers 132-100, Lost Charlotte Hornets 124-121, Beat Chicago Bulls 106-97

This Week: 2/28 at Minnesota Timberwolves, 3/2 at Los Angeles Lakers, 3/4 vs. Golden State Warriors

What a week for the Phoenix Suns. Chris Paul was named as an All-Star reserve. After a day of much outcry, Devin Booker joined him as an injury replacement for Anthony Davis. When facing off against the Portland Trail Blazers the onslaught was for real.

Blowing out the Blazers by 32 points was eye-popping considering the kind of roll Damian Lillard had them on of late. Booker led the way with 34 points on 17 shots. There were 14 Suns that scored. The team as a whole showed up to make a statement against a fellow playoff team.

Devin Booker followed this up with a 33-point outing in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets, one of six Suns in double figures. Finally, the week ended with Booker leading the team in scoring again with 22 points, tied with Deandre Ayton. It was a down scoring week for Chris Paul (shooting just 38.2 percent from the field) but continued to make the plays that matter by averaging 11.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game this week.

With two All-Stars, hopefully causal fans will start to comprehend just how much of a threat the Phoenix Suns are. The stories of the Western Conference will still be the teams in Los Angeles. The Utah Jazz have been the best team in the league this year. Even the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers get talked about more because of what they have done in previous years. But the Suns continue to make sure they are firmly entrenched in this conversation.
