17-12. Previous: 12th. San Antonio Spurs. 13. team. 29.

Last Week: 2/22 at Indiana Pacers (POSTPONED), Lost to Oklahoma City Thunder 102-99, Beat New Orleans Pelicans 117-114

This Week: 3/1 vs. Brooklyn Nets, 3/2 vs. New York Knicks, 3/4 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

After being off for more than a week, the San Antonio Spurs got back on the court (mostly) for two games and split them. Against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Spurs dropped a close game but they were still without DeMar DeRozan, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell.

Having to start Trey Lyles and Luka Samanic is not exactly a recipe for success. Dejounte Murray was exceptional, posting a line of 27 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals. There was just not enough there to get the team over the edge, even with LaMarcus Aldridge back on the court.

Against the New Orleans Pelicans, DeMar DeRozan was back and was fantastic, going off for 32 points, 11 assists and two steals. Aldridge added 21 points off the bench and four other Spurs scored in double figures.

The San Antonio Spurs are not going away. Coming into the season, the Spurs looked like one of the few Western Conference teams not competing for the playoffs. That was wrong. There is no way to figure out which Spur is going to go off on a given night (outside of DeRozan for the most part) and that makes them dangerous.
