NBA: 5 players that should be on the new NBA logo
NBA logo candidate No. 5: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
What better replacement for the NBA logo, than the best scorer to have touched a basketball? There are about 38,387 reasons why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar should end up on the new logo.
Kareem is a six-time league MVP, six-time NBA Champion and holds the record for most All-Star appearances with 19. His accomplishments and the effect he’s had on the game of basketball have confidently given him a spot amongst the creme de la creme.
His signature “skyhook” move is, by all means, the most unstoppable shot in NBA history. During his prime years, which lasted about 15 seasons, Kareem was practically uncontainable.
If Jerry West can make such an attractive logo while dribbling up a basketball, imagine Kareem’s skyhook as a replacement. An honor worthy of his name, the greatest center of all time would make a fine new NBA logo.
