Trade candidate No. 9: Aaron Gordon

Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic is yet another player that hasn’t quite “clicked” with his team as of yet. Once an incredibly hyped draft prospect, Gordon did not have the start to his NBA career that most experts had predicted.

His playing time was initially limited, as the Magic favored Channing Frye and Kyle O’Quinn over him. Just when he started showing quite a few positive signs that he could be a star in the league, his teammate Nikola Vucevic decided to enter his prime around the age of 30.

This has negatively affected his game, turning him into nothing more than a starter on a non-playoff team. Gordon has always been a mediocre shooter, meaning that the Magic are the absolute worst team for him to find his groove.

Gordon is a crowd-pleaser. Every team would be lucky to have a guy that can fire up the entire arena with a single play. All he needs is a few shooters to space the floor, so he can do his work around the paint with his physicality.

It seems like everybody expects the Magic to part ways with Gordon, except the Magic. The situation is clearly not working out, Gordon’s talents are not being utilized and the franchise is not going anywhere at this state.
