What would a trade for Matisse Thybulle look like?

Given the tight financial spot that the Philadelphia 76ers find themselves in, there aren’t many options that make sense money-wise. Nevertheless, a trade can still be done between these two teams, equally benefiting both in the long run.

For the Knicks, parting ways with these two guards would not be the worst thing to do. Whereas they have both proved their worth so far, they do not fit the timeline of the team. Heck, Rivers isn’t even a part of the rotation at the moment.

Regarding the Sixers, this trade would be a no-brainer. The departing assets will not affect their day-to-day chances at a run at the championship in the next few years, while the arrivals will help boost their odds.

Reuniting not only Burks with his old team but Rivers with his father will be great for the locker room and give the Sixers the bench unit they need to take that extra step at last.

Matisse Thybulle will continue with his development under one of the finest defensive minds we’ve seen in Thibodeau, and Tony Bradley can fill in as a backup center, with Mitchell Robinson resting due to his fractured hand.

All four players involved in the deal are deeply talented in their own ways. None of them appear to fit the blueprint that their franchise has chosen to follow. Will a swap help both sides equally moving forward?
