The Minnesota Timberwolves are having one of their worst seasons ever. For some fans, the struggle to keep watching grows more and more with each passing day.

With a 6-18 start, Minnesota has lost all hopes of a playoff push to end the season and are now just hoping to keep their 2021 draft pick, which was sent to the Golden State Warriors in a package for D’Angelo Russell but has a top-three protection on it.

Of course, these struggles haven’t all been the fault of the organization. Karl-Anthony Towns’ injury and then unfortunate COVID-19 diagnosis has certainly hurt Minnesota’s odds, as its star player has only been able to play just four games. There have also been unfortunate injuries to Russell, Josh Okogie, and Naz Reid.

Because of these injuries, the Timberwolves have had to play lineups that are less than advantageous, and the changes to the rotation has been difficult for head coach Ryan Saunders to handle, to say the absolute least.

After a rough season like this, it’s always nice to be reminded that you’re loved. Here are some messages to just a few of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

However, the Wolves certainly haven’t helped themselves during this season either. The front office’s determination to focus on a small ball model that isn’t working has certainly hurt them in the long run. While the job of building rotations can’t be easy right now with players constantly going on the injured reserves, Saunders hasn’t done himself any favors.

Along with that, certain players haven’t lived up to the hype coming into the season. Though he’s come back a little, Juancho Hernangomez is still struggling to play at the same level that he was last season and Ricky Rubio hasn’t been able to perform at the same level that he’s been at throughout the season.

And with all of this, it’s easy to see why the relationship fans have with the Minnesota Timberwolves is beginning to struggle. But, if there’s anything life has taught me, it’s that there’s one thing that always fixes a struggling relationship…cheesy Valentine’s Day messages!
