The Bucks are a veteran team

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo were all part of the Bucks when the team compiled the best regular-season record in the league each of the last two seasons. Mike Budenholzer, the man at the helm during those runs, is still the team’s head coach. Key off-season acquisitions Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis and DJ Augustin are all battle-tested veterans with previous playoff experience. Simply put, the Bucks are a veteran team that will not lose confidence based on two subpar games.

This past offseason, Milwaukee’s front office convinced Antetokounmpo to sign a super-max extension with the team. This ensured they’d be relevant for the foreseeable future. Locking up the two time MVP with a long-term deal meant that expectations year in and year out would be that the team would compete for a championship. The organization believes they have what it takes to get over the hump this season. So far, there’s no reason to believe anyone in the Bucks’ locker room disagrees with that sentiment.

The Bucks are a team with the luxury of veteran leadership and quality coaching. The other contenders in the Eastern Conference have weaknesses that could be exploited with the right game plan. Milwaukee has shown the ability to perform at a high level this season. When they’re playing their best they can compete with anybody.

A myriad of scenarios could be cause for concern over the course of a 72 game season. For Bucks fans, a two-game losing streak isn’t one of them.
