Milwaukee Bucks: 4 reasons not to worry about two-game skid
Recent five-game winning streak
Before losing to the Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz, the Milwaukee Bucks had won their previous five games. Three of these games were road games, and three of these wins came against playoff-bound teams. A streak like this could contribute to fatigue, which may have been a factor in Milwaukee’s recent two-game skid.
During that five-game winning streak, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 25.2 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. His balanced attack served as the motor behind the Bucks’ onslaught as the team averaged 127.2 points and won by an average margin of 20.8 points per game. If the Bucks are able to duplicate that level of productivity as the season progresses, they may very well overtake the Philadelphia 76ers for the top spot in the east.
Having enjoyed the best regular-season record in the league each of the past two seasons, Bucks fans are used to seeing their team perform at a high level. Their recent five-game winning streak should only serve as a reminder of what they’re capable of. During this 7- game season, the occasional let-down is bound to happen. Keeping in mind how good this team is when clicking on all cylinders, Bucks fans should not overreact.
